Son's car is totalled. the repairs are more than the car is worth.
seriously, i need a break. a winning lottery ticket. someone to put together a fund raiser for us - we're already in lean times, financially... this may push me right over the edge.
dear powers that be - could you cut us a break, please? we need to find a car for my son that we can afford, or magically have the repairs be about 400 cheaper, so that the car isn't totalled. pretty please?

Ok, i probably need to put more here... by day, I'm the manager of web stuff for a company that published trade journals, and the rest of the time i knit. I also free-lance, though not a whole lot.
My 2 newest knitting loves are socks... i learned how to do 2 at a time, toe up, on magic loop (1 long circular needle) - it's AWESOME!! i also love the lacy shawls...
currently, i'm in my second course of treatment for "the big c" - the beast who shall not be named. I WILL win this fight!
